Job summary

The Shaw Group in Beaumont, TX seeks an experienced structural foreman to lead a team of structural fitters and welders. This role requires strong supervision, attention to detail, and the ability to review drawings and delegate time and production effectively.

The candidate will ensure materials are appropriate, oversee safety and compliance, and coordinate with the Structural General Foreman or Supervisor.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires previous years of experience in structural foreman positions.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Capable of showing helpers, fitters, welders’ appropriate procedures if needed.
• Strong supervision skills, building team report.
• Typically reports to Structural General Foreman and/or Supervisor.
• May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations.
• Performing only those jobs on which they have been trained and/or authorized.
