Job summary

Bechtel is building a major structural steel project in New Albany, Ohio. The Structural Field Engineer reports to the Lead CSA Field Engineer and provides technical support for field supervision in structural steel, precast, stairs, platforms and grating.

You will ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and standard work processes while supporting material control, inspections, and quality documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating field execution, developing installation work

Qualifications

• Proficient in structural steel erection and reading design/shop/erection drawings.
• Familiar with AISC Steel Construction Manual and standards.
• Experience with Bechtel processes and preferred BSAP tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and resolve issues related to structural execution in the yard and field.
• Assist Advanced Work Packaging team with installation work packages.
• Perform field material take-offs, requisitions, and monitor PO/delivery status.
• Assist Lead Structural Field Engineer in developing inspection/test plans.
• Inspect structural scope: erection, connections, grout, precast per plans.
