Job summary

Bechtel is hiring for a supervisory field position in New Albany, Ohio, overseeing operations within a designated discipline. The role ensures craft activities and subcontractors meet specifications, schedules, and budgets, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Assigned to a field construction organization, the supervisor directs and motivates staff, coordinates with other disciplines, and ensures the most current design documents are used and approved before execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years related experience.
• Alternatively 12–14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience building large structural projects and managing union craft.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy and ES&H manuals.
• Strong supervisory and subcontract management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative direction to subordinate superintendents and field staff.
• Determine workforce requirements and coordinate area operational plans.
• Schedule and review craft work, monitor progress and quality.
• Ensure use of current design documents and approval of design changes.
• Prepare reports and forecasts on construction progress and expenditures.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and safety compliance.
