Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma with maintenance related courses.
• Five years welding experience and fabrication of industrial metals preferred.
• AWS D1.1 certified or able to obtain certification upon hire.
• Ability to read layouts, blueprints, sketches, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to fit and weld to 100% accuracy per AWS D1.1 and customer drawings.
• Operate welding machines and maintain in-spec parameters per job requirements.
• Communicate progress and collaborate with shop foreman to meet deadlines.
• Operate processing equipment (plasma cutting, tube bending, layout) as needed.
• Use abrasive techniques and cleaning tools to finish parts per spec.
• Inspect work with precision measuring equipment to ensure quality.
