Job summary

Doral Corporation in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Industrial Fabricator. Under the supervision of the Structural Shop Foreman, the Industrial Fabricator fits and fabricates parts and pieces according to drawing and quality requirements.

You will read blueprints, weld to 100% accuracy, operate welding machines, and use precision measuring tools. Five years of welding experience and AWS D1.1 certification (or ability to obtain) are required, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma with maintenance related courses.
Five years welding experience and fabrication of industrial metals preferred.
AWS D1.1 certified or able to obtain certification upon hire.
Ability to read layouts, blueprints, sketches, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints to fit and weld to 100% accuracy per AWS D1.1 and customer drawings.
Operate welding machines and maintain in-spec parameters per job requirements.
Communicate progress and collaborate with shop foreman to meet deadlines.
Operate processing equipment (plasma cutting, tube bending, layout) as needed.
Use abrasive techniques and cleaning tools to finish parts per spec.
Inspect work with precision measuring equipment to ensure quality.
