Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license (PE).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with U.S. building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC).
• Experience with structural engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under general supervision.
• Plan and conduct work with independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Apply wind and seismic design using IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC provisions.
• Design and analyze traditional steel and concrete structures per relevant codes.
• Check calculations and maintain high attention to detail and quality control.
• Manage workload, scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Define scope and forecast effort when requirements are not fully defined.
• Identify scope changes and escalate to the Structural Lead.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers, drafters, and less-experienced engineers.
• Advance structural workflows and adopt emerging technologies.
