Job summary

IMEG, a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Houston, TX. You’ll assist with analysis, design, and oversight of structural systems on real projects, getting mentored hands-on experience.

During the internship you’ll support project documentation, site observations, and coordination with cross-functional teams, contributing to healthcare, industrial, and mixed‑use projects along the Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Strong interest in structural design and consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office; able to document and present work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design work in accordance with codes and IMEG standards.
• Support project documentation, meetings, and client instructions for permanent records.
• Coordinate design with architectural, structural, and MEP teams; monitor progress.
• Conduct periodic site observations and review project documents for accuracy.
• Prepare addendum information and assist with project outlooks.
