Job summary

IMEG Corporation is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in the Dallas area. The role offers paid, mentored work with real project experience and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will assist in analysis, design and oversight of structural systems, while supporting coordination, documentation, and site observations under experienced engineers. This is an in-office program with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected.
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project design for discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Support project research and resource gathering.
• Help with client relations, project design notebook maintenance, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines including architectural and electrical teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while tracking progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks and assist with addendum information.
• Conduct periodic site observations and other contract services tasks as needed.
