Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Over 10-12 weeks, you’ll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems in buildings and other structures while working alongside experienced engineers and consultants.

This is a paid, mentored internship with real project work and hands-on exposure from day one. You’ll support project coordination, documentation, and job site observations while

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project design for discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with project research and resource gathering.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook maintenance, and permanent record documentation.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check.
• Assist with the preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
