Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in-office. You will assist with analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems while collaborating with experienced engineers on active projects.

You will support project coordination, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork across commercial, civic, and education projects, contributing to sustainable design goals and the firm’s ESOP culture.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural system design in accordance with code and IMEG standards
• Research project-related information and resources
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and document records for permanent files
• Coordinate design and schedule activities with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier teams
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and provide other services required by the contract services agreement
