Job summary

IMEG Corporation is inviting students to join its Structural Engineering Intern program in Houston, TX. Over 10-12 weeks, you will help with design, analysis, and implementation of structural systems while working with seasoned engineers on active projects.

Qualifications

Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required.
Experience: None listed
Strong interest in design consulting and ability to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

Assist with structural system design in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
Research project-related information and resources.
Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and document records for permanent files.
Coordinate design and schedule activities with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier teams.
Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check.
Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
Conduct periodic job site observations and provide other services required by the contract services agreement.
