Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern in Houston, Texas. Over a 10–12 week summer program, you will assist with the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for buildings and other structures, while collaborating with experienced engineers on active projects.

You will support project coordination, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork across civic, education, healthcare, and municipal facilities, contributing to sustainable design goals and meeting client

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering with at least 2 years completed.
• Strong interest in design consulting and collaboration with teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CAD/BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural system design in compliance with codes and IMEG standards.
• Support project coordination, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions; monitor progress.
• Coordinate design and schedule with multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, tech).
• Conduct site observations and help prepare addendum information.
