Job summary

Ghafari Associates in Chicago, IL is seeking a Structural Engineering intern to work fully in-office for the period of May - August 2027. The intern will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases under supervision of the discipline Manager and/or project engineer.

Responsibilities include creating CAD documents in AutoCAD/Revit, coordinating with engineers, producing refined drawings, and supporting 3D design work.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university.
• Students should have completed at least (2) years of classes.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documents using CAD technology (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
• Work with engineers during design phase to understand scope and data needs.
• Provide limited design on documents and detail design with input from engineers.
• Produce final documents for engineers' review and coordinate disciplines.
