Job summary

Stantec is seeking passionate interns for the summer of 2027 to join our Buildings practice in Raleigh, NC. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and project managers to develop conceptual models and advance design ideas using BIM tools and standard design documents.

You will interact with multidisciplinary teams, interpret drawings, and contribute to a range of building types.

Qualifications

Must be in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in architectural, civil, or structural engineering from an accredited university.
Completion of the junior year is preferred.
2 years of related project or internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, specifications, codes, and other similar documents.
Utilize BIM technologies to develop three dimensional models of structures and their components under direction of senior staff.
Analyze and design individual building structural systems.
Work with project managers and technical design staff to prepare design documents through various phases of the design process including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, details, and calculations.
Create electronic data files in compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
Convert redlines to document-ready work.
Publish and manage design document sets.
Maintain drawing revisions.
