Job summary

Stantec in Dallas is seeking passionate engineering interns to join our Buildings practice. You will work with architects, engineers, interior designers, and project managers to create conceptual models and advance design ideas using BIM technologies.

You will develop basic building system designs, produce drawings, and learn best practices in a multidisciplinary environment focused on sustainable, high-performance buildings. This internship offers real project exposure and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Junior year completion preferred.
• Some related project or internship experience is preferred.
• Currently pursuing an Engineering degree from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, codes and similar materials.
• Performs design for electrical/mechanical/structural using BIM to develop 3D models under direction of senior staff.
• Performs basic calculations and layouts for building system components.
• Prepares and revises drawing documentation across engineering phases.
• Creates electronic data files per Stantec and client requirements.
• Converts redlines to document-ready work.
• Publishes, posts, and manages drawing sets.
• Maintains drawing revisions.
