Stantec in Dallas invites applications for a summer 2027 internship in the Buildings practice. You will interact with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop conceptual models and advance design ideas.

The role emphasizes BIM modeling, basic structural analysis, and documentation across project phases. Pursue an accredited engineering degree and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Competenze

• Ability to perform basic calculations and apply engineering concepts.
• Basic experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit) preferred.
• Basic experience with design software (Tekla Structural Designer, RAM Structural System, RISA 3D, Enercalc) preferred.
• Basic understanding of floor plans and details.
• Familiarity with shop drawings detailing building materials.
• Working knowledge of BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Interpret drawings, specifications, codes, and similar documents.
• Develop 3D models using BIM under senior staff direction.
• Analyze and design building structural systems.
• Prepare design documents through design phases (site plans, floors, elevations, sections).
• Create electronic data files per Stantec and client requirements.
• Convert redlines to final documents.
• Publish and manage design document sets.
• Maintain drawing revisions.
