Job summary

Stantec in Raleigh, NC is seeking an enthusiastic Structural Engineer to collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and other Buildings Engineers on diverse educational, commercial, federal, municipal, and industrial projects.

You will perform design calculations, develop BIM models in Revit, review shop drawings, mentor EITs, and contribute to proposals while ensuring code compliance and quality across project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer status is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural design through sketches, models, diagrams, and other visuals.
• Perform design calculations per code and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project team leaders on structural design and project management.
• Work with large, high-complexity projects and mentor junior staff.
• Provide QA/QC on own projects and peers' work; review shop drawings and submittals.
• Assist with proposals for projects of varying size and complexity.
