Job summary
Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Y-12 site to develop design packages, drawings, and specs, and provide field support during construction. You will lead multi-discipline tasks and review outside firm work to ensure code-compliant solutions.
Qualifications include a ABET-accredited Civil/Structural Eng degree, PE licensure, 2+ years of experience, and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Civil/Structural Engineering degree required with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
- GPA requirement up to 4 years post-graduation; higher degrees may supersede GPA.
- DOE O 426.2A experience or qualification considerations apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop design packages, drawings, specifications, and calculations for structural projects.
- Provide field support during construction to ensure proper implementation and site compliance.
- Lead or participate as technical lead on multi-discipline tasks and review outside firm work.
- Perform walkdowns of facilities to support accurate design documentation.
