Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role involves developing detailed design packages, providing field support, and leading engineering teams on multi-discipline projects.

The candidate should have a Civil/Structural ABET-degree, 10 years of experience, and a preference for a PE license. CAD and STAAD.Pro experience are desirable; readiness to work in a production environment is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program (emphasis on Structural)
10+ years of experience
Active PE license preferred
Experience with structural drawings and calculations
Familiarity with consensus design codes
CAD drafting and 3D modeling experience preferred
STAAD.Pro experience preferred
Ability to manage engineering design activities and project scope

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality detailed design packages and provide field technical support
Lead or be part of an integrated project team and coordinate with system engineers
Perform plant walkdowns to generate design documents and provide field support
Provide technical solutions using established engineering practices, codes, and standards
Perform building evaluations, seismic analysis, and oversee outside firms
