Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on detailed design, field support, and technical leadership across multi-discipline teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program with 10 years of experience, and a PE license is preferred. Proficiency in CAD drafting, 3D modeling, and STAAD.Pro is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10 years of experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficient with developing structural drawings and calculations.
• Familiarity with consensus design codes.
• CAD drafting and 3D modeling experience preferred.
• STAAD.Pro modeling experience preferred.
• Ability to lead engineering design activities on a project.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design packages and provide field support for implementations.
• Lead or be a technical lead for multi-discipline teams.
• Perform plant walkdowns to generate design documents and support crafts.
• Provide engineering solutions applying established practices, codes and standards.
• Handle building evaluations, seismic rehab, steel/concrete design and machine installations.
