Position Summary

The position is responsible for engineering and design activities related to the assigned functional area, such as analysis, design, and project management, under the guidance of higher-level engineers, leads, supervisors, or managers. The engineer will collaborate with higher-level engineers to complete projects supporting our customer and may also work with internal teams and client engineers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate work activities within the team to complete structural projects
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff
• Utilize software to design substation structures and foundations
• Review design documents and ensure compliance with standards
• Collaborate with electrical designers for structural scopes and estimates
• Review drawings and project documents for accuracy and compliance
• Recommend improvements to designs and documents
• Create material requisitions and coordinate with fabricators
• Coordinate submittals with project schedule
• Act as project lead for structural projects
• Initiate corrective actions when necessary
• Interpret applicable codes and regulations

Education and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in structural engineering, analysis, and foundation work
• Experience managing engineering projects from start to finish
• Experience in scoping, estimating, and ordering materials
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's Degree counts towards experience
• SE License required for Washington State

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $65.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment classification and length of service. Benefits may include:
