Job summary

Engineering Design & Testing Corporation is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer PE for a hybrid role based in the Macon, GA area with travel as needed. The EIC will manage investigations of residential, commercial, and industrial structures, perform structural analysis, and supervise field testing and reports.

Candidates must hold a PE license (NCEES), have 7+ years in civil/structural engineering, and a BS/MS in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
P.E. license with NCEES registration required.
7+ years of civil/structural engineering experience.
Experience with building envelope, codes, and standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as Engineer-In-Charge managing investigations for residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
Coordinate case budgets, work orders, site visits, and deliverables with clients.
Manage in-house and subcontractor resources to meet deadlines.
Conduct onsite investigations and gather field data to assess damage.
Prepare repair or replacement cost estimates as needed.
Prepare forensic reports detailing observations, data, and conclusions within 10 business days after site exam.
Provide technical support and testify as an expert witness when required.
