Job summary

Engineering Design & Testing Corporation is seeking a Civil Engineer (EIC) in a hybrid role based in the Mid-Atlantic region. The engineer will manage investigations of buildings and components, perform analyses, and provide expert reports and testimony as needed.

A PE license and 7+ years of civil/structural experience are required. The role requires travel to sites, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team while delivering unbiased, technically sound

Qualifications

• Licensed professional engineer (P.E.) required.
• B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years civil/structural experience.
• Willingness to travel for project sites.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigations of residential, commercial and industrial buildings and components.
• Perform structural analysis, hazard and damage assessments, field testing of materials.
• Prepare repair/replacement cost estimates and forensic reports.
• Coordinate with clients, attorneys and other professionals; manage budgets and scope.
• Provide expert testimony as needed; travel to sites and deposition locations.
