Job summary

Engineering Design & Testing Corporation is seeking a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer (PE) to lead investigations on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You will perform structural analysis, prepare cost estimates, review codes, and provide expert opinions on complex cases, often as an expert witness. This is a hybrid role requiring travel and residency in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The ideal candidate has a P.E. license (NCEES), 7+ years of civil/structural experience, a B.S.

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
P.E. license with NCEES registration required.
7+ years of civil/structural engineering experience, preferably with residential or commercial properties.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Lead investigations of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and assess damage.
Develop case budgets, work orders, site visits, and cost estimates for clients.
Prepare forensic reports with observations, data, and conclusions within deadlines.
Provide technical support and testify as an expert witness when needed.
Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams; track case status weekly.
