Job summary

COMPA Industries, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineer for the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory site in Niskayuna, NY. The role supports building and utility construction, coordinating with architectural firms and facility staff through scope to construction.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Structural Engineering required or candidate with related experience.
• Experience performing structural engineering tasks including contract documents, calculations and cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience in construction administration with submittal reviews, RFIs and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define project scope with project sponsors.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and drawing reviews for building and utility projects.
• Oversee architectural engineering firms as they develop concept designs, construction documents and cost estimates.
• Provide engineering support during construction of building and utility projects.
• Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.
