Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer to support construction projects at the Knolls Site in West Milton, NY. An active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required for consideration.

The team works within a federal contracting environment, delivering design, cost estimation, and construction support while coordinating with facilities staff and external firms. Citizenship is required by government contract rules.

Qualifications

• B.S. Structural Engineering degree required.
• EIT certificate or P.E. license required.
• Knowledge of NYS Building Codes, AISC, ASCE.
• Experience in construction administration (submittals, RFIs, inspections).
• US citizenship is required for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Support construction projects at the Knolls Site as part of a project team.
• Develop and define project scope with sponsors, and prepare specifications and cost estimates.
• Review drawings and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utilities.
• Coordinate with architectural/engineering firms, facility staff, and contractors.
