Job summary

The team supports submarines, carriers and related systems, collaborating with NAVSEA and external partners, onsite with some travel. Must Have: ABET-accredited engineering degree with 2 years exempt experience or a Master’s with 0 year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 2 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and research structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite materials.
• Understand damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.
• Prepare technical submittals, drawings, operating instructions and test procedures.
• Perform dynamic structural (shock) analyses using FEA tools and hand calculations.
• Coordinate with design, test, construction teams and external customers.
