Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level engineer to provide engineering and technical support under close supervision in New Jersey. You’ll develop skills in your field while contributing to problem solving and documentation.

Responsibilities include analysis, reporting, and collaboration with the team to support company goals. A foundational understanding of power quality and distribution standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET/EAC accredited engineering program or equivalent.
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
• Ability to research engineering/design issues and present recommendations.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with basic electricity and power quality.
• Familiarity with distribution construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
• Pursue continuous improvement of engineering knowledge and skills.
• Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Support company goals and present Pike professionally.
• Understand basic electricity and power quality.
• Know distribution construction standards and methods.
