Pike Engineering in New Jersey seeks a highly experienced Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership in a specialized area. You will mentor engineers, review complex work, and drive analysis, calculations, and documentation with a focus on reliability and safety.

Candidates must hold a PE license, demonstrate outstanding communication, and lead cross-functional teams in a utility-industry environment. This is an on-site leadership role requiring independent, strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years’ experience as a practicing engineer.
• State registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
• An expert in engineering theories and principles.
• An expert in researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and presenting recommendations.
• Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various backgrounds.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership within the utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise to solve complex problems and lead a specific area of expertise.
• Coach and mentor other engineering professionals.
• Review work of subordinate engineers and provide direction on a corporate or industry level.
• Lead identification, analysis, and resolution of engineering problems.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities effectively.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, calculations, and sketches.
