Job summary

DHA is seeking a structural engineer to join the structural department in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves working on high-visibility projects across office, commercial, healthcare, and residential sectors, with 1–4 years of relevant experience and EIT certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
EIT certification required.
1–4 years of structural design experience on commercial/institutional/residential projects.
Knowledge of structural engineering principles and design software.
Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design calculations (beam, column, slab, foundation, walls for wood, concrete, steel, and masonry).
Read and develop contract plans and specifications.
Perform field reviews for projects in construction and surveys of existing structures.
Perform construction administration tasks such as reviewing submittals and RFIs.
