Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with U.S. building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, complete analysis and design, and communicate structural requirements through design documents and the model.
• Perform conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design.
• Evaluate, select, and adapt engineering techniques while developing judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Develop knowledge of lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic conditions, including building-code provisions.
• Maintain attention to detail and quality control by checking own work and calculating checks of others' work.
• Manage workload, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements, taking ownership of the structural scope.
• Escalate scope changes to the Structural Lead when needed.
• Seek guidance from peers and senior engineers when needed.
• Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
