Job summary

Jobot is seeking a structural engineer in Boise, Idaho to lead structural design for buildings and industrial structures. The role involves preparing detailed reports, managing project scope and budgets, and coordinating with junior staff and CADD technicians to deliver complex engineering projects.

The candidate will apply AISC, ACI, ASCE, and IBC codes, conduct site visits, and interface with clients and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design for buildings and industrial structures.
• Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications on structural projects.
• Independently applies extensive knowledge of principles and practices including recent building and engineering codes in broad areas of assignments.
• Directs junior engineers, designers, and CADD technicians to successfully execute and deliver project work.
• Prepares or reviews specifications, scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Prepares or reviews complete project documents.
• Formulates and solves problems.
• Provide QA-QC for plans.
• Works in a team environment to deliver a range of structural engineering projects.
• Interfacing with clients and construction teams; attends project meetings.
• Conducts site visits, site observations and client meetings.
• Reviews shop drawings, respond to RFIs and perform field observations during Construction Administration.
