Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to work on advanced manufacturing and semiconductor facilities. You will develop design concepts, oversee drawing packages, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction.

The role requires PE/SE license, Staad expertise, 2+ years in structural design (steel and concrete), and strong communication. Hybrid work with 2 days in-office and up to 25% travel across the lower 48 states.

Qualifications

• PE/SE license required for professional engineer role.
• Structural engineering analysis software experience (Staad or similar).
• At least 2 years of experience in Structural Design in both Steel and Concrete.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with design drawings across all project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation, including related deliverables.
• Strong client meetings and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and technical studies supporting client decision-making.
• Oversee production of detailed drawing packages for structures, infrastructure and equipment.
• Work across all design phases and support projects through construction and post-construction engagement.
• Participate in presentations and client meetings; conduct site analysis; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
