Job summary

Sedgman is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ office to provide technical support on structural projects, including design, investigation, budgeting, and reporting. You will lead design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Electrical, Process, and Mechanical teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Structural Engineering and 5–7 years of experience, with 5 years in senior roles, plus PE eligibility in Arizona.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 5 in a lead or senior role.
  • Eligible to register with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration to obtain the Professional Engineer licensing (P.E.).
  • Strong understanding of steel and concrete design for heavy industrial structures.
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in design/consultancy/operational environments.
  • Previous mining or metals industry experience is highly desired.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

  • Perform detailed concrete and steel design, including interaction with Drafters to produce models and documentation in line with QA Compliance

  • Focus on technical innovation and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Sedgman is hiring! We are currently seeking an Structural Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ office. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support on structural engineering projects; this includes conducting structural design, investigation, managing project budgets and schedules, as well as preparing technical reports.

What does this role involve? Main Responsibilities:
