Job summary

Sedgman USA operates in the mineral processing sector and is recruiting a Mechanical Designer to join its Phoenix, AZ team. You will handle detailed design from concept to final drawings, focusing on mechanical systems within multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities include creating 3D designs, reviewing designs, complying with change management, and ensuring quality against client specifications. 5+ years in mining or heavy industry design is preferred, with AutoCAD Plant 3D proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 year’s industry experience in a design/consultancy environment, preferably supporting mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries.
• Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D modelling programs, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant3D.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Previous MS Office skills

• Check drafting deliverables for accuracy and adherence to design specifications & intent.
• Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards and client requirements

Sedgman USA is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer, with hands‑on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering, to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona! The Mechanical Designer works on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on Mechanical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
