Job summary

Stantec in San Francisco seeks a Structural EIT to work on smaller projects under a Senior Structural Engineer and contribute to larger projects as needed. You will perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber, with hands-on drafting in Revit and coordination with architects and other disciplines.

The role involves construction administration duties, client communication, and helping develop design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• NCEES EIT is required.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations and drawings for small projects under Senior Engineer’s guidance.
• Coordinate with architectural interiors and other disciplines.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating change orders.
• Perform calculations using standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and owner clients.
• Understand industry standard design processes and construction means and methods.
• Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Assist with development of design standards.
