Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural EIT to work on small to mid-size structural projects under the guidance of a Senior Structural Engineer. The role involves analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, with collaboration across disciplines.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, an EIT, and are open to early career opportunities. This position emphasizes quality client service and adherence to project constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering required.
• NCEES EIT is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Open to candidates early in their career, including recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations and drawings for small projects under Senior Engineer’s guidance.
• Coordinate with architectural interiors and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders.
• Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and owner clients.
• Understand industry standard design processes and construction means and methods.
• Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time and on budget.
• Assist with development of design standards.
