Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Structural EIT in California to work on small projects independently and larger projects with guidance from a Senior Structural Engineer. You will perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems while collaborating with architects, interior designers, and other disciplines.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required
NCEES EIT is required
Open to candidates early in career or recent graduates

Responsibilities

Complete calculations and drawings for small projects under Senior Engineer’s guidance
Coordinate with architectural interiors and other engineering disciplines
Perform construction administration duties including field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews and evaluating change orders
Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software
Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and owner clients
Understand industry standard design processes and construction means and methods
Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects on time, on budget, with high client service
Assist with development of design standards
