Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural EIT in Sacramento, CA to work independently on small projects and as part of larger teams under a Senior Structural Engineer. You will perform structural analysis, design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, and coordinate with architecture and other disciplines.

You will handle construction administration duties and use software such as Revit, Enercalc, SAP, and RISA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
We are open to candidates who are early in their career, including recent graduates.
NCEES EIT is required.

Responsibilities

Complete calculations and drawings for small projects under Senior Engineer’s guidance.
Works with and coordinates with architectural interiors, and other engineering disciplines.
Perform Construction Administration duties including completing field observations reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders.
Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and owner clients.
Understanding industry standard design processes and understanding of construction means and methods.
Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time, on budget, and at a high level of client service.
Assist with development of design standards.
