Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Structural EIT to work independently on small projects and as part of larger teams under a Senior Structural Engineer. The role involves structural analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, with guidance on complex tasks.

Responsibilities include calculations, coordination with other disciplines, construction administration duties, and development of design standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; Master’s preferred.
NCEES EIT is required.
Open to early career candidates, including recent graduates.
Basic proficiency in Revit and structural modeling is expected.
Ability to communicate design concepts to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

Complete calculations and drawings for small projects under Senior Engineer’s guidance.
Coordinate with architectural interiors and other disciplines.
Perform Construction Administration duties including RFIs, submittal reviews and change orders.
Use company software for calculations and design checks.
Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and owner clients.
Understand standard design processes and construction means and methods.
Work within project scope, budgets, and timelines to deliver quality results.
Assist with development of design standards.
