Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Structural EIT to work on small to mid-size projects under a Senior Structural Engineer. You will perform structural analysis, design and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, with support from experienced engineers.

You will collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines, conduct field observations, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and assist with construction administration to ensure quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• NCEES EIT is required.
• Open to early-career candidates, including recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations and drawings for small projects under Senior Engineer’s guidance.
• Coordinate with architectural interiors and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews, and contractor change orders.
• Use company standard software and proprietary tools for calculations.
• Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and owner clients.
• Understand construction means and methods and apply standard design processes.
• Help deliver projects on time and within budget with high client service levels.
• Assist with development of design standards.
