Job summary

Above Group, Inc. is seeking a Structural Designer I in Melbourne, FL. You will support the Engineering team with designs for current and upcoming projects, ensuring quality aligns with company standards and timelines.

Ideal candidates have AutoCAD and Revit expertise, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team to deliver accurate drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer drafting and design or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience at an MEP or A-E firm.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software programs.
• Proficient knowledge of BlueBeam and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review current building codes and local regulations.
• Create CAD drawings and calculations under Engineers.
• Develop and implement design criteria from concept to construction.
• Work with Engineers to reflect their vision in drawings and designs.
• Coordinate layout of distribution systems and equipment locations.
• Respond to RFIs, submittals, and other construction-phase tasks.
• Attend meetings to ensure timelines and concerns are met.
