Job summary

BRPH, a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering and construction firm, seeks a Drafter/Designer II in Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate will draft and design using REVIT and AutoCAD, producing plans, elevations, sections and isometrics for various project phases, and supporting cost estimates and coordination with other disciplines.

Requires a high school diploma with drafting coursework (or higher) and 5 years of drafting/design experience; CAD certification or a related BS degree can

Qualifications

• Minimum education as stated: high school diploma or GED with 2 years drafting courses in AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Certification in Computer Assisted Drafting can replace education and reduce experience.
• A related BS degree can replace education and reduce experience.
• Aptitude for graphics with working knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, Windows, Word, Excel and Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Reviews sketches, drawings, specs and data from engineers/architects.
• Develops final drawings from instructions, rough sketches, and BRPH libraries.
• Prepares minor design calculations and applies engineering fundamentals.
• Performs minor design of routine projects under supervision.
• Researches code issues and presents interpretations.
• Assists in client contact and communications on projects.
• Assists in development of probable construction cost estimates within the discipline.
• Attends meetings with out-of-office clients.
• Prepares reports, specs, plans, schedules, cost estimates and permits.
• Maintains proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD and coordinates with other disciplines.
