Job summary

MedCore Construction seeks a drafter/designer with AutoCAD and Revit proficiency to create structural drawings for fabrication and installation. You will develop fully annotated shop drawings from sketches and specs, applying knowledge of structural methods and materials in an in-office, full-time role.

The position requires at least 5 years of architectural drafting/design experience, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in architectural drafting/design.
• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• 2D AutoCAD experience.
• Unistrut knowledge; develop understanding of strut capabilities/catalog.
• Basic welding annotations knowledge.
• Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain detailed architectural and structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop fully annotated shop drawings from sketches, specifications, and design concepts.
• Apply knowledge of structural construction methods, materials, and building design best practices.
• Maintain organized project documentation; ensure deliverables on schedule.
• Produce bill of materials, cut sheets, and specifications for fabrication and installation.
• Participate in design reviews and refine layouts and architectural details.
• Assist with presentation materials, layouts, and visual design support as needed.
• Conduct on-site surveys to verify measurements and existing site conditions.
• Evaluate project spaces and assist with layout planning.
• Support estimating and quoting by documenting measurements and project scope.
