Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Structural Design Intern in Lenexa, KS for Summer 2027. The role focuses on establishing, maintaining, and improving company standards and tools, and contributing to project success through BIM and design documentation.

Candidates should be adept with design tools (Revit, AutoCAD, GeoPak, NavisWorks) and pursue CAD/Drafting studies, ready to grow technically and professionally within a dynamic power engineering team.

Qualifications

Must communicate effectively with team members and disciplines.
Must complete assignments in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents.
Represent Kiewit Engineering and Design professionally to owners, contractors, vendors and others.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with design group members to review and exchange project information for design and development.
Gather information and collaborate with engineers to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
Leverage BIM to create plans, drawings, and details.
Assist in developing department standards and tools.
