Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Design Technician to support our Advanced Manufacturing Data Centers team. You will design structural drawings and models, coordinate building systems, and help produce construction documents for hyperscale data centers and other critical facilities.

You’ll work with engineers and designers across the United States, using Revit and AutoCAD, and may lead small design tasks while adhering to project standards and sharing knowledge with teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit.
• At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs hyperscale data centers and other mission-critical facilities with structural engineers and project teams.
• Develops and updates structural drawings and models; coordinates building systems and existing conditions.
• Produces clear, accurate construction documents; includes foundations, framing and equipment supports.
• Uses 2D drafting and BIM tools, including Revit, for project coordination and quality reviews.
• Organizes design work for small projects or work packages; follows project standards and shares knowledge.
