Job summary

LEO A DALY in Omaha is seeking a Summer Intern to assist in analyzing, designing, and detailing structural systems that enhance safety and sustainability of the built environment.

You will work with experienced engineers on real projects, develop practical design solutions, and gain hands-on REVIT modeling, site observations, and multidisciplinary coordination. Applicants should be pursuing an ABET-accredited degree in architectural or civil engineering with a structural emphasis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Knowledge of REVIT Structure is preferred.
• Familiarity with RISA 2D/3D, RAM, and PCA software is a plus.
• Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication; knowledge of building systems.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Active campus/community involvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists to design and specify project-appropriate structural engineering requirements.
• Coordinates designs with Structural Designers.
• Performs Revit modeling and detailing.
• Assists to conduct site investigations and observations.
• Assists to prepare narratives, reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications with high quality within schedule and budget.
• Assists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
• Additional assignments may include client/internal meetings and supporting construction contract administration and marketing activities.
