Job summary

Leo A Daly is seeking a Summer Lighting Design Intern to support the creation and implementation of lighting solutions for interior and exterior spaces.

You will join a multi-discipline team, under senior designers, focusing on design concepts, CAD drawings, and technical documentation for multiple projects. Proficiency in REVIT MEP and related tools is preferred. This on-site internship in Omaha offers hands-on experience in architectural lighting.

Qualifications

• Design and specify project-appropriate lighting requirements.
• Assist with coordinating designs within a multi-discipline team.
• Develop and present conceptual lighting direction and visuals.
• Prepare narratives, reports, calculations, and drawings to a high quality.
• Support site investigations, cost estimates, and deliverable drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assists to design and specify project-appropriate lighting requirements.
• Coordinates designs with the work of others.
• Performs Revit modeling and detailing
• Assists to conduct site investigations and observations.
• Assists to prepare narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, presentation renders, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.
• Assists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
