Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel seeks design engineers to lead the structural design of custom steel transmission structures for critical infrastructure across the United States. You will interact with customers, project teams, and production staff to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes analytical design, client communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with multiple locations across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis or equivalent.
• E.I.T. certification preferred; PE licensure highly desirable.
• Steel design coursework and/or practical structural steel experience.
• Experience using structural analysis and design software.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work with customers.
• Ability to collaborate with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design custom steel structures.
• Review customer specifications and design criteria.
• Perform structural calculations and load analysis.
• Prepare complete engineering packages and calculations.
• Review engineering drawings and design revisions.
• Support fabrication and manufacturing teams.
• Resolve technical questions throughout project execution.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
