Job summary

Jasurda Search Group is assisting a national leader in engineering and fabrication of steel structures in Dallas to appoint a Design Engineer for tubular steel transmission structures. You will lead analysis and design from concept through construction, coordinating with customers, PM, and fabrication teams.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of design experience, EIT, and proficiency with structural design software. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a background in structural design, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant design experience.
• EIT required.
• Proficiency with structural design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design tubular steel transmission structures and associated products in accordance with project design criteria and applicable industry standards.
• Review customer specifications and coordinate design revisions with project management, modeling, and estimating teams.
• Prepare design calculations, cost estimates, and complete engineering documentation.
• Communicate directly with customers and plant personnel to resolve technical questions and design ambiguities.
• Review drawings for design conformance and perform quality checks on peer-designed work.
• Support resolution of technical issues arising in fabrication and the field.

They are seeking a Design Engineer to lead the analysis and design of tubular steel transmission structures, working closely with customers, project management, and fabrication teams to deliver accurate, code-compliant designs from concept through construction.
