Gateway Group Personnel is assisting a client with several Design Engineers to support the expansion of its engineering organization across the United States. The role focuses on designing custom steel transmission structures and working closely with customers and project teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

The position offers opportunities for growth, direct customer engagement, and collaboration with drafting, manufacturing, estimating, and commercial teams on major utility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred).
  • E.I.T. certification preferred; P.E. licensure highly desirable.
  • Steel design coursework and/or practical structural steel experience.
  • Experience using structural analysis and design software.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the structural analysis and design of custom steel transmission structures and related products. Engineers work closely with customers, project management, drafting, manufacturing, estimating, and commercial teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design custom steel structures
  • Review customer specifications and design criteria
  • Perform structural calculations and load analysis
  • Prepare complete engineering packages and calculations
  • Review engineering drawings and design revisions
  • Support fabrication and manufacturing teams
  • Resolve technical questions throughout project execution
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding engineering requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)
  • E.I.T. certification preferred; Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure highly desirable
